"Metal Detector" is a utility application. It utilizes your device's magnetometer sensor to detect surrounding magnetic fields and metals, combined with the camera (AR background), GPS location, and screenshot features to help you record your detection coordinates and results.
This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when you use Metal Detector. We take your privacy and data security very seriously.
1. Information We Collect and Use
To provide the core detection and recording features, this app requires the following permissions. However, we DO NOT upload, transmit, or store your sensitive personal data on our servers:
- Camera & Storage: The camera is used solely for the Augmented Reality (AR) background. When you use the 'Snap & Rec' function, images and history records are saved directly to your device's local storage. We do not collect, access, or back up these files.
- Location Data (GPS): We use your real-time location to tag your detection records with coordinates and addresses. This data is processed and stored locally on your device and is never tracked or transmitted to us.
- Device Sensors: Magnetic field sensor (magnetometer) data is used exclusively to calculate and display the real-time magnetic field strength on your screen.
2. Third-Party Ads and Subscriptions
This app offers a free ad-supported version and a 'Remove Ads' subscription via Google Play Billing:
- Advertising (Google AdMob): The free version serves ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use your Advertising ID and device information to serve personalized ads. You can reset your Ad ID or opt-out in your device settings. For more info, please review the Google Privacy Policy.
- In-App Purchases: When you purchase a subscription, the transaction is processed securely by Google Play. We do not collect, receive, or store your credit card or financial information.
3. Children's Privacy
This application is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
